This is an informative 4 day class designed to teach tactical operators who have unique shooting abilities to deliver accurate shots at targets varying from short to long range distances.
This course is open to marksman level starting as new snipers on tactical teams and extends to advanced snipers with years of experience. This course will cover urban operations and related situations dealing with realistic distances and scenarios.
Each student will be required to maintain a 90% qualification score during the 4 days of training and pass the final qualification shoot to complete this course.
This percentage applies to both snipers and observers as both officers are required to be proficient with a sniper rifle should the need arise to switch out roles when on a call out . This course will be mentally and physically challenging and will require students to stay focused and motivated for 12 hour training days.
Students will need to be able to run for ½ mile or 4 minutes at a comfortable pace without stopping and complete a minimum of 20 push-ups.
Shooting distances will vary between 50 – 300 yards in various weather conditions and tested with realistic type scenario situations.
